Who is LiveGood plant protein best suited to?
It suits shoppers who want an organic, vegan, dairy-free protein powder with added vitamins and minerals and who are happy with a pea-based formula. It is less compelling if you want an unsweetened or unfortified powder, a meaningful amount of hemp, a chocolate flavor, or a sport certification such as NSF Certified for Sport.
Reasons to consider it
- 20 g protein and 0 g sugar per scoop, at 101 calories.
- Organic pea and hemp protein, vanilla flavor, sweetened with organic stevia.
- LiveGood lists it as vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free and soy-free.
- 26 added vitamins and minerals listed on the label.
- LiveGood publishes a lot-specific Certificate of Analysis.
Reasons to compare first
- We have not tested taste or mixability ourselves.
- Hemp is only 100 mg per scoop, so this is a pea protein powder with a little hemp, not an even blend.
- 349 mg sodium per scoop (14% DV) is worth noting if you watch your salt intake.
- Stevia-sweetened, so it is not an option if you want an unsweetened powder.
- The best price needs a LiveGood membership; check the current membership terms.
What is actually in it?
The current Nutrition Facts panel lists a 29.15 g scoop with 20 g protein, 101 calories, 1 g fat, 3 g carbohydrate, 1.35 g fiber and 0 g total sugars. The protein comes from an organic plant protein blend of 25.625 g organic pea protein and 100 mg organic hemp protein. Those are ingredient weights, not grams of protein: 25.6 g of pea protein powder supplies most of the 20 g of protein on the label. The other ingredients are organic vanilla flavor powder, organic Himalayan salt, organic stevia extract and organic citric acid.
The label also lists 26 vitamins and minerals, including vitamin D3 from lichen, B12 as methylcobalamin, folate as L-methyl calcium folate, zinc, selenium and iodine. For the full panel, see our full ingredient and nutrition breakdown.
LiveGood's published Certificate of Analysis for one lot shows the same picture. It lists 25.625 g pea protein "by input", meaning the amount added during manufacturing rather than a lab measurement, and a tested 105 mg of hemp protein against the 100 mg label claim. A COA is not proof of organic certification or of health benefits. If you want to understand why that matters, here is how pea and hemp protein differ. A COA covers one batch only, so later batches should be rechecked.
How it compares with other plant protein approaches
LiveGood is one of several ways to buy organic plant protein. If you are still shortlisting, compare other organic plant protein powders before deciding.
| What you prioritize | LiveGood fit | What else to compare |
|---|---|---|
| Organic + fortified | Strong match: organic protein plus 26 added vitamins and minerals. | Whether you actually want the fortification. |
| Simple ingredient list | Not the simplest, because of the fortification and stevia. | A minimally formulated, unsweetened pea powder may suit you better. |
| High protein per serving | 20 g per scoop is solid, but some sport-focused plant powders list 30 g. | Protein per serving and serving size, not front-label wording. |
| Meaningful hemp content | 100 mg hemp per scoop is a very small share. | Hemp-based powders if hemp itself is your priority. |
| Competitive-athlete certification | LiveGood says it is third-party tested, but does not show NSF Certified for Sport. | Products carrying a sport-specific certification. |

What about the health claims?
LiveGood's marketing uses broad language around muscle, recovery, energy, weight management and other outcomes. We do not treat those statements as proof that this particular powder will produce those outcomes. Protein is an essential nutrient, and plant foods can provide enough protein as part of a well-planned diet. Individual needs depend on age, health, total diet and activity.
If you have kidney disease, a medically prescribed diet, allergies, are pregnant, or have another condition that changes your nutrition needs, talk to a clinician or registered dietitian before using supplements.
The FDA does not approve dietary supplements for safety and effectiveness before they are sold. That is another reason to separate merchant claims, label information and batch documentation from independent evidence about health outcomes.

Where LiveGood is strongest against competitors
LiveGood's clearest advantage is not price or protein quantity on its own. It combines 20 g of organic plant protein, broad vitamin and mineral fortification, and publicly available batch testing documentation in one product. That is a different proposition from a minimalist powder such as Vega Protein Made Simple or a sport-focused formula such as Garden of Life SPORT.
It is not always the cheapest per serving. Its value is strongest for shoppers who want the added micronutrients and the transparency, not for someone whose only goal is the lowest-cost grams of protein. See it side-by-side with Truvani, one of its closest organic competitors.
Where to buy LiveGood protein powder
LiveGood sells direct through its website and member referral links, which is where the listed member price, subscription option and 90-day guarantee apply. If you search "Live Good protein" on Amazon or eBay you will also see listings from third-party sellers, sometimes at different prices.
If you buy from a marketplace seller, check who the seller is, the expiry date shown on the listing, and whether LiveGood's guarantee still applies to that purchase.
Our verdict
LiveGood is a credible option for a shortlist if you want an organic, vegan, pea-based powder with broad micronutrient fortification. The published COA is a useful transparency signal, and 20 g protein with 0 g sugar is competitive with many everyday plant powders. The main reasons to compare first are that it is really a pea protein powder with a little hemp, it is stevia-sweetened, and the best price depends on membership. If any of those are deal breakers, here are alternatives if LiveGood is not the right fit.
